I created Sports As Told By A Girl as an undergraduate student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. One of the last classes I took was a computer class and the only assignment was to run a website for a semester. I started Sports As Told By A Girl as a personal blog just for me to rant about sports. As an opinionated and passionate sports fan, I had plenty to say and that's when I realized other women were probably looking for a place to share their sports opinions. I wanted to create a medium for women looking to express their opinions whether they were looking at sports media as a career path or not because it was so hard to find one that wanted to have more than one female writer on staff. Today the site has thousands of followers across multiple social media platforms and has multiple writers from different countries.

Founder/ Creative Director

As a Caribbean American woman working in corporate fashion for over 17 years I've strived to overcome many hurdles in my career which is what led me to create Tails N Tassels. Our black unicorn logo was created to show women of color that they too can be celebrated in society as beautiful, mystical, magical beings. We aim to empower all women as we want our brand to be a destination of inclusion.

Our brand mission statement: Empowering unique unicorns under every shade of the Rainbow with elevated accessories & apparel.

Emily Jones

Founder & Head Glowtender

We began with mobile spray tanning!  With lives filled with jobs, commuting, weddings, showers, exercise, meal prepping, a full time job and hoping, "ya know" for a social life, spray tanning was a great place to start.  However, an appointment can be...annoying, but a tan always makes you feel great. You had to make time, book the appointment, race the commuters to get there and honestly, hope for the best.  Then, you have to consider the sticky ride or walk home, deciding which old loose sweats were decent enough to be seen, praying for no rain or sweat, all added stress to be bronze for "so and so’s" big day.  Well, it was on my own long walk home, dodging raindrops and streaks, that Girl on the Glow was born. I wanted to celebrate the girl who conquered it all with a great new idea. Your space is our studio ...we come to you.
